Membership in International Shinbudo
Association is FREE! We charge no annual fees, licensing fees or anything
similar. All enthusiasts ready to
co-operate in ISA are warmly welcomed. The
International Shinbudo Association is a friendly group of people (individuals,
clubs, organizations) willing to organize and/or participate on SPORT EVENTS
under ISA rules. There are three ways of "qualifying" for membership in ISA:
1. Participate on ISA Festival.
2. Participate on smaller international event organized under ISA rules by some
active ISA member.
3. Organize your national Shinbudo event under ISA rules, which will cover Sport Kenjutsu
and Sport Jujutsu disciplines. This competition should gather at least
30
contestants from at least 3 towns/cities. You will be listed as ISA member immediately after
you provide photos and videos from this event (via e-mail, on a CD/DVD or
uploaded on your web site, YouTube etc.).
Membership in ISA
is taken from those national representatives who fail to
"refresh" their status over a period longer than 2 years, by any
of fore-mentioned three ways of active participation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ISA
does not support self-proclaimed "instructors", "masters" and
those who have invented their own "styles", or have received
their grades/titles from similar individuals or groups. No one
under 30 years of age cannot claim 5th Dan or any
additional/equivalent rank or title. No one under 50 years of
age cannot be 8. DAN. No one under 70 years of age cannot be
10th Dan. No one - even hundred years old - cannot claim
ANY grade or title without proper verifiable training history
and certificates. No one cannot claim the title of "soke" in any
non-koryu martial art! All SENSEI, SHIHAN and HANSHI must have
verified grading history in respectable national or
international organizations. If you hold/claim rank, grade or
title which does not fit these standards (set by the most
traditional and legitimate Japanese based organizations such as
Judo Kodokan Institute, Zen Nipon Kendo Renmei, Zen Nihon Budo
Renmei, etc.) - please DO NOT CONTACT US! People who do
not respect fair rules of martial arts promotions will also be
unable to respect fair play and sport rules in general. ISA does
not need such competitiors, coaches or referees.
At the moment, there are following ISA
representatives:
Special honorary titles and grade-recognition
diplomas in Jujutsu or Kenjutsu are issued to most outstanding supporters of
ISA activities, national representatives, Founder's teachers and technical
advisors:
